As far back as we can remember it’s always been Nana’s, Mama’s, Aunties, Sisters and Friends. Women who came alongside the birthing mama, to educate, compassionately care for, support and encourage. To pray with, over and for, continuing to support her and her family in the weeks that followed. These women were all Doula’s, way before there was a name for them.
